The Danube Swabian Association of Philadelphia and Vicinity serves the local community as a center for German culture, sports, education, and social activities. Formed in 1957, primarily by ethnic German immigrants who came to the United States in the aftermath of World War II, the organization continues to honor and uphold its traditions by promoting the language, music, dance, dress, and customs of the Danube Swabian people.

Goulash Dinner

February 2, 2025 -- 1:00 p.m.

We are happy to offer a Goulash Dinner on Sunday, February 2. The meal includes Goulash and a dessert.

Cost is $20. Payment can be made in-person, by mailing a check to the club (made out to "Danube Swabian Association"), by credit card via PayPal, or by Venmo. Please note that you do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card via PayPal. Take-out is also available for this event.

Please call Gerlinde at 215-673-4423 by Tuesday, January 28 for reservations. Please specify eat-in or take-out when you call.

General Membership Meeting

February 23, 2025 -- 1:00 p.m.

Please join us for our annual general membership meeting. The meeting will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. at the club. A light lunch will be served beforehand starting at 12:00 p.m. All members are invited and encouraged to attend!

Suppe und Palatschinken

March 2, 2025 -- 1:00 p.m.

Join us for this club favorite meal that includes soup and palatschinken (crepes)! Bring your own special filling if you wish. Cost is only $12. This is also a great time to submit your membership renewal at the club. Please call Gerlinde at 215-673-4423 for reservations by Wednesday, February 26.

Schlachtfest

Sunday, April 6, 2025 -- 1:00 p.m.

We hope you will join us for our annual Schlachtfest, a club favorite event!

This is the annual dinner featuring homemade meats, sausages, soup, appetizer, and dessert. No one goes home hungry! Please call Gerlinde at 215-673-4423 for reservations.

Summer Concert Series

June 2025

Our Friday Night Summer Concert Series will take place in June. Concerts are free and open to the public and typically take place in the club's outdoor picnic area (weather permitting). Please stay tuned for our 2025 schedule.

Tag der Donauschwaben

Sunday, August 24, 2025 -- 12:00 p.m.

We invite you to join us for our annual Danube Swabian festival! This all-day German celebration features plenty of food, drink, soccer, folk dancing, and German music. All members and friends are invited to attend. Cost of admission is only $5. Gates open at 12:00 noon.

Come and enjoy a beautiful day of Gemütlichkeit!
